Understanding Chemsex
Crystal Meth and Sex Why Does the Connection Become So Strong
In this video, I explain why the connection between crystal meth and sex can become so powerful, what may be happening psychologically, and why understanding that connection matters if you want to change your relationship with Chemsex.
About this video
Crystal meth and sex can become connected in ways that are far more powerful than simply “liking sex more when you’re high.”
Over time, meth can become associated with sexual excitement, anticipation, confidence, intensity, connection and escape. And as that association becomes stronger, sex without meth can begin to feel different — sometimes flatter, less exciting, or simply harder to imagine.
You don’t have to call yourself an addict — and you don’t have to know whether you want to stop completely — before becoming curious about what is happening.
